CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION

The Venus filtration system has been tested in real conditions by several independent laboratories around the world. It has notably been tested by independent laboratories in the United States. These analyses have shown that our O’Pure 2 filters have a reduction capacity of nearly 99.99% on bacteria such as E. Coli. Analyses have also been conducted on forever chemicals (PFAS) that our filters reduce by more than 99.9%.

Furthermore, the laboratory SGS present in 140 countries around the world and recognized internationally for its expertise in the field of water has conducted several reduction analyses on our O’Pure 2 filters. Tests have thus been carried out on the MS2 virus that our filters reduce by 99.9999%, other analyses have been conducted on pesticides and heavy metals according to NSF/AISI standards 42-53.

Unlike other brands, we have deliberately chosen to conduct analyses in different laboratories in order to provide maximum transparency to our customers.

You will find below the analysis reports established by these laboratories.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Weeplow® gravity water filtration system? What is its purpose?

The Weeplow® gravity water filtration system comes with two O’Pure 2 filters. This water purification system for individuals is the most effective and cost-efficient on the market. It uses gravity water filtration technique to effectively remove all unwanted elements contained in the water, such as pathogenic bacteria, chlorine, sediments, heavy metals, sand, etc., while preserving the good minerals, and all this without consuming electricity.

What is the list of undesirable elements removed by the Weeplow® O’Pure 2 filters?

The following elements are reduced by the Weeplow® O’Pure 2 filters:

  • Coliforms
  • E. Coli
  • Lead
  • Iron
  • Mercury
  • Chlorine
  • Bisphenol A
  • Chloramines
  • Pharmaceutical products
  • Petroleum contaminants
  • Methylcyclohexane-methane
  • Pesticides
  • Heavy metals

This is not an exhaustive list. For more details, please consult our analysis reports.

How do I prime my Weeplow® O'Pure 2 filters before first use?

Regarding the priming of the O'Pure 2 filters, the following steps must be followed:

  1. Place the small beige gasket provided on the filter's thread to ensure that water properly enters the filters and does not splash everywhere.
  2. Then place the gasket against the tap.
  3. Slowly open the tap so that cold water flows through the filter.
  4. Hold the position for at least 2 minutes, then you will see the filter weeping water.

Once the filters are primed, install them in your system and perform one to two complete filtration cycles of 8 liters before consuming the water. Indeed, it sometimes happens that the water is cloudy during the first filtration cycles. This is generally due to residual dust trapped in the micropores of the filters. If necessary, you can also clean the tanks with hot water and soap before using them.

What is the lifespan of the Weeplow® O'Pure 2 filters? How often should the filters be replaced?

A pair of O’Pure 2 filters can filter up to 22,000 liters of water. This is a theoretical lifespan if certain conditions are met, namely that the water you are filtering is already relatively clean and that you take the time to maintain your filters according to the instructions provided in the instruction booklet that comes with the product.

On the other hand, if you are filtering water from an unreliable source, such as rainwater for example, and you do not take the time to maintain your filters, then the lifespan of these will be shorter.

Also, for optimal filtration, it is recommended to change the filters after 2 years of intensive use. Although the filters will still be able to effectively filter a good portion of contaminants even after 2 years, it is possible that their filtration power may be reduced on certain contaminants.

How to maintain the stainless steel tanks of my Weeplow® system?

Regarding the maintenance of stainless steel chambers, we recommend cleaning the chambers with soap and hot water once a month. In areas where the water is hard (rich in limestone), we suggest using pure vinegar or a 50-50% mixture of vinegar and water to spray and let sit for about 15 minutes. Finally, wipe everything with a ScotchBrite pad or a soft brush, then wash with soap and rinse. Clean each tank individually.

How to maintain the Weeplow® O’Pure 2 filters?

For the filters, our recommendations are to wash them every 2 months in cold water (always) and to gently scrub them using fine sandpaper or a toothbrush. Scrub one section of the filter until you notice some black residue on the pads, then move on to the next section. Finally, re-prime each filter, then reinstall it in your tank.

Why is my filtered water cloudy and has a bad taste?

It sometimes happens that the water is cloudy during the first use. This is usually due to residual dust accumulated in the filters during their manufacturing and transport. That is why we recommend performing at least 1 complete filtration cycle before starting to consume the water. You can also clean the tanks with hot water and soap before attempting a new filtration cycle.
A poor priming of the filters can also be the cause of this cloudy water. Indeed, dust may initially be lodged in the filter. Please prime your filters several times if necessary.

Why and how to perform a food coloring test?

In certain situations, it happens that you do not fully trust your filters. Indeed, the filtration rate may seem too fast to you or the filtered water may have a slight taste at the outlet.
In order to isolate the problem as best as possible, it is often useful to perform the food coloring test.
To do this, add food coloring (without sugar and without thickening agent) to the upper tank of the Earth system. It will then take on a pink or red color. Do not hesitate to mix everything so that the coloring spreads perfectly in the tank. The water that comes out of the filter must be completely clear. The best way to see this is to put a little water in a glass. You will then be able to judge at a glance whether the filtration system is working optimally.

A part of the water in the upper reservoir of my Weeplow® system is not flowing through the filters. Is this normal?

Yes, the fact that there is a little water left in the upper tank is normal and it generally concerns the last centimeters of water (between 1 to 2.5 cm). Due to the structure of the filter, water passes through very small micropores before entering the lower tank. The lower the water level in the upper tank, the less pressure there is to force the water through these micropores. You may have noticed that the system purifies much faster when the tank is full than when it is half full. This is because the pressure exerted on the water is greater.

I have been using my purification system for several months and the filtration speed has significantly decreased. Should I already replace the elements?

No, it is generally enough to clean your Weeplow® O’Pure 2 purification elements to revive them. The slow flow rate is often explained by the sediments and other residues previously filtered that clog the micropores of the purification elements. Simply remove the elements from your system and scrub the outside of each element with a stiff toothbrush or fine 3,000-grit sandpaper.
Scrub one section of the element until you see a bit of black on the pads, then move on to the next section. This simple process should only take a few minutes. Re-prime each element, then reinstall it in your unit. Your flow rate should be restored.

How long can I keep the water filtered by my Weeplow® system?

We advise against storing filtered water with a Weeplow® product for more than 3 days. Indeed, if you store your filtered water in a humid and/or warm environment, bacteria can develop again and multiply more quickly.

Are Weeplow® gravity filtration systems guaranteed?

Yes, our gravity filtration systems are guaranteed. The stainless steel chambers as well as the support and the faucet with gauge are all guaranteed for 10 years. In case of rust, leakage, or malfunction, we commit to replacing the item.

Regarding the charcoal filters, they are guaranteed for 2 years.
